Build Materials & Tone — The LPYS‑006 uses mahogany for both body and neck, which contributes to a warm, rich tone.
Finish — The “maple wood grain” finish is actually a printed veneer, not carved real maple.
Pickup & Electronics — Equipped with a humbucker and 3‑way switch, it offers basic tonal variations suited for rock, blues, and similar styles.
Frets & Hardware — It has 22 frets (per the Japanese store spec) and basic chrome hardware.
Accessory Bundle — Comes with a gig bag, two picks, a strap, an Allen wrench, and a power cable.
Weight & Playability — According to Ubuy, it weighs about 3.18 kg (~7 lb), which is moderately light for a solid-body LP-style guitar.
Setup Considerations — Some users (via Ubuy) recommend a basic setup (truss rod, action, intonation) because the action may be a bit high from the factory.
The mahogany body and neck give this guitar a warm tonal character, which is one of its biggest selling points. This makes the LPYS‑006 well-suited for genres that benefit from sustain and a fuller low-mid frequency profile.
These factors represent the most critical aspects that will impact your satisfaction with this product.
Review is for GROTE Guitar Solid Body Electric Guitar with Gigbag LPYS-006 (TS) ...... Keep in mind I am a beginner. Not a seasoned pro player. If you are like me, you have read the reviews, watched youtube videos about this brand etc. but the nagging question you have is....will I get a good one, that is pretty well setup when it arrives??
Been seeing youtube vids on how good are some of these inexpensive guitars by Leo Jaymz & Grote. Tried my luck first with an $87 Pacifica style Grote and it was fantastic. Next got a Jaymz SG and its also fantastic. Couldnt help myself to then grab a Les Paul from both brands. Got this Grote Les Paul and its the finest looking guitar i ever seen and sounds amazing.
