I bought this for my 8-year-old grandson and he absolutely loves it! It came mostly assembled—just had to attach the flag and charge it. The low speed was perfect for helping him get the hang of it before switching to the higher speed, which is impressively fast (especially when it spins!). His friends all enjoy taking turns on it too. Great buy!
For the price, this is a really fun kids’ toy and seems to be well made and durable. My only complaint: the “slow” mode was good for my five year old to initially learn, but it’s laughably slow and he got bored with it quickly. However, the “fast” mode is multiple times faster, which led to wipeouts each time he tried it, and now he’s scared to do it again (but bored with “slow”). As other owners of this thing can tell you, there’s a LOT of space between the two modes and I wish they had provided a “medium” mode right in between, which I imagine would be perfect for a lot of kids around that age. Will try “fast” again in a year or so, maybe with elbow and knee pads on. :)
