The RDINSCOS pinless moisture meter is a non-invasive moisture detector designed to help homeowners, inspectors, contractors or DIYers find hidden dampness or water damage inside wood, plaster, drywall, masonry, concrete and similar building materials. It uses a pinless sensing method (i.e. without piercing the material) to scan a shallow depth beneath surfaces, then indicates moisture levels via a color display and an alarm. It’s especially suited for inspecting finished floors, walls, ceilings — anywhere you don’t want to leave probe holes.

Measurement method: Pinless (non-destructive) — no holes or marks on inspected surfaces.
Material compatibility: Works on wood (hard & soft), drywall/plaster, masonry/concrete, and general building materials — versatile for home inspections or renovation.
Readout & UI: Large color LCD, tri-color (e.g. dry / risk / wet) bar/indicator plus audible alarm; includes data-hold function and auto power-off.
Sensing depth: The pinless sensor reaches roughly ~19 mm (or ~0.75 in) beneath the surface (depth varies with material).
Since the meter uses a pinless induction-based or dielectric sensing method, it does not require inserting probes into the material. This makes it suitable for finished floors, furniture, painted walls or any visible surface where puncturing would be unacceptable — ideal for leak detection or moisture surveys after a flood or plumbing leak.
These factors represent the most critical aspects that will impact your satisfaction with this product.
Money well spent!! As a salesperson and estimator in the flooring industry, this tool in invaluable. I don’t know that if it’s as good as the ones that cost hundreds of dollars, but it’s good enough for me to know when a job isn’t ready for installation or if there’s a moisture problem that’s causing problems with the floors that I’ve sold.
Wish you knew about this little gadget long ago however I don’t know if it’s still working properly like it should cause I try to fire up my wood burner this year and it just will not burn even though it tells me the wood is fine
