Native resolution vs “supported 1080p/4K” marketing — Many projectors (especially budget ones) claim to support 1080p or 4K input, but their native resolution — the actual resolution they project — can be much lower.
Brightness / Light Output (Lumens) — The brightness of the projector determines how well the image will show under certain lighting conditions. For home-theater use in dark rooms, modest lumens may be okay; but in brighter rooms or with larger screens, insufficient brightness leads to washed-out or dull images.
Ambient light & viewing environment — A projector performs best in a dark or dim environment. If there is much external light (daylight windows, room lights), image clarity and contrast degrades significantly.
Sound — built-in speakers vs external audio — Many budget projectors’ built-in speakers are weak; for a satisfying cinematic experience, external speakers/soundbar may be needed.
Connectivity / Input options (HDMI, USB, TV-stick compatibility, WiFi/Bluetooth if any) — To use streaming services, consoles, laptops or media players, reliable input ports or wireless connectivity are important.
One of the biggest caveats: while the XuanPad may claim to support Full HD (1080p) or even “4K input,” independent reviewers warn that the native resolution — what it actually projects — might be much lower (some say as low as 800×480). This means that even if you feed a 1080p or 4K video into the projector, the actual displayed image could be significantly less sharp. On larger screen sizes (e.g. 150–200"), pixelation, blurriness, and lack of detail can become especially noticeable. This is arguably the single most important factor — because it fundamentally affects picture quality no matter how bright the lamp is or how many features the projector has.
These factors represent the most critical aspects that will impact your satisfaction with this product.
Amazing projector! I’m super impressed with the picture quality and brightness — the 1800 ANSI makes everything look crisp, even with some light in the room. Setup was fast, the WiFi + Bluetooth connected easily, and it works perfectly with Netflix. The 210° rotatable stand is such a bonus and makes it easy to project anywhere. Dolby audio sounds great, and the keystone correction makes the image look perfect every time. Highly recommend this projector for home use!
I often have my grandkids come over and they always ask for a tv for ”their” room.
