Image resolution & brightness — The Capsule 3 offers 1080p resolution and “200 ANSI-lumen” brightness (as advertised).
Screen size capability vs real use conditions — While it can project up to 120 inches under ideal conditions, achieving a sharp, bright image at that size will require a dark (or at least dim) room, a good projection surface, and appropriate distance.
Portability and battery-powered use — The built-in battery lets you watch a full (~2.5 hour) movie without plugging in, which adds great flexibility (camping, travel, small venues, temporary setups).
Smart features and convenience — With official Google TV, built-in Netflix (and presumably other streaming apps), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and multiple input options (HDMI, USB-C/A, AUX), the Capsule 3 aims to be a self-contained entertainment system.
Audio capability vs external speaker requirement — It has built-in audio that is usable for small spaces or casual viewing.
Setup ease and auto-adjustments — The projector supports features like auto-keystone correction, autofocus, and screen-fit/obstacle avoidance, which simplifies use and reduces need for manual alignment.
One of the most important factors with a compact, portable projector like the Capsule 3 is how well it handles image quality — especially brightness and clarity. The 1080p resolution is solid for a small device; still, at 200 ANSI lumens, it is relatively modest brightness.
These factors represent the most critical aspects that will impact your satisfaction with this product.
It works well and I'm impressed with the video and sound quality. Setup was very easy, and the Google TV Interface is very intuitive.
Extremely happy with the size and quality of this projector. The picture clarity and color is excellent up to the edge of its limits, specifically in the dark. Light does reduce picture brightness and quality respectively to how bright it is.
