Bought this boat for our grandson to use on their pond and he loves it. It's very quick and controllable for an 8 year old.
Overall, this is a very fun boat. I received this for free...as a family of RC enthusiasts, this is not something I would typically buy...we tend to gravitate towards hobby grade equipment. However, I've been pretty impressed with this boat. We've had it on our small farm pond and have run 6 pack through it, and so far it's been solid. There are, of course, many drawbacks with a toy-grade RC, but for the price of $40, this is a bargain, and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to get a pool toy or something for a small pond who doesn't want to spend a lot of money.
